North Coastal maintained a perfect record at the Female Under 18 NSW Country Championships in Port Stephens on Friday with an eight wicket win in the T20 Final.

Since moving from Open Age in 2014/15, North Coastal have never been defeated at the Female Under 18 Country Championships.

It has won four titles with rain washing out the carnival last season. North Coastal also won the last Open Age Championships held in 2013/14.

The Final drew to a close the 2019/20 NSW Female Underage Country Championships with ACT Southern Districts completing back-to-back Under 15 titles last Wednesday defeating Riverina by three wickets in a low-scoring T20 match.

In each age division, the eight Country zones played three T20 matches before the top team in Pool 1 and 2 played off in the Final to determine the eventual champions.

NSW Breakers coach and former Blues allrounder Dominic Thornely arrived on Thursday to cast his eye over the talent on display during the Under 18 championships.
